"Epic week &still not ended! Fabulous wedding at @OwlpenManor!" @Lucy_Davenport, Twitter, August 2014

"Magical Wedding Venue. My husband and I got married at Owlpen Manor in July this year and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Bella, Mary and the Mander family were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout all of the planning and we truly could not have chosen a better location to get married. Our family had the option of staying in the cottages which were lovely and cosy, turning our wedding day into a wedding weekend. It also meant the wedding morning was lovely and relaxing, knowing it was only a minute walk to the church and reception. The food was wonderful, as were the serving staff on the day and we had so many guests tell us it was the most beautiful location for a wedding they had been to. We couldn't recommend Owlpen more, thank you!" Amyp1952, TripAdvisor, July 2014

"Magical midsummer afternoon @OwlpenManor for the wedding of Amy Rose & Fabian; delightful gathering, may they live Happy ever after." @drpjcrook, Twitter, June 2014

"Owlpen Manor is a beautiful and interesting house of Tudor and Georgian origins with a unique Tudor garden and, together with the church directly behind the house, makes the perfect setting for a wedding in the grounds. The Mander family, Bella in the office and all the ground staff were charming, friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay in beautiful, peaceful surroundings." Sue, TripAdvisor, June 2014

"“An Enchanting Retreat” We stayed in Peter's Nest while attending a marvelous wedding on the grounds. It was like a time warp, what with the peace and tranquility of such stunningly beautiful area. The only connection I could get to the internet was within 30 feet of the office, and that made it so easy to unplug altogether! We were blessed with outstanding weather, but I think Owlpen Manor would be a once-in-your-lifetime experience no matter what the weather. The Manders and Bella were so warm and accommodating, and the take-out food was delicious. Just walking the grounds is a treat, but don't overlook the Church of the Holy Cross, a beautiful chapel right behind the Manor. Yes, definitely one of the best trips we've ever taken, and I would highly recommend it as a wedding venue. It was truly magical!" Mary, TripAdvisor, June 2014

"My favourite corner of Gloucestershire. Married at Owlpen in 2011 and son christened at Holy Cross two months ago." @jeremygahagan, Twitter, November 2013

"“Perfect wedding weekend base for family and friends!” We took over the owlpen estate for a wedding weekend and it was a fantastic! It was great to all be able to stay together, but with enough distance for privacy and own space etc. All cottages are within walking distance of eachother and each have their own quirky features. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful and we used the restaurant for a group brunch on the Sunday which was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would recommend Owlpen 100% and we plan to return for a reunion next year! Thank you Bella & Becky!"  LLMLondon April 2013

"“Wedding and weekend of celebrations” Fantastic wedding and venue. We hired all the cottages and had the wedding on the Saturday in Holy Cross church on site and reception in cyder house restuaurent, then family celebrations on the Sunday. The food was amazing, staff so helpful, and cottages to suit all. Special thanks to Lord & Lady Mander for allowing us to use their estate. Peace and quiet with lovely grounds plus a great pub, community shop and cafe all within walking distance in Uley. We highly recommend this wonderful place and could not fault it." "“Amazing setting” We spent a lovely weekend here at a cousins wedding. The cottages are lovely and quaint and the setting glorious - even in the rain! The setting for the wedding and the Cider House are fabulous. Food is relatively simple and staff are quite helpful even if a little eccentric! Quirky, fun, different with a fantastic setting." "“Magical estate living: charming cottages, gorgeous views~memorable.” We spent a week here and our daughter married on the estate's enchanting chapel. My husband and I rented Woodwells, which is a lovely home with three bedrooms, all decorated with antiques, two baths with showers, a formal dining room, fully equipped eat in kitchen and cozy living room. There is even a mud room with a washer. We also peeked into many other cottages, Grist Mill where my Daughter and her friends stayed, equally as spacious and nice, Peter's Nest, a cute and charming one bedroom loft cottage, and Court House, a truly adorable three story marvel with amazing views from the top (but alert, bathroom on the FIRST floor!). Walking trails galore, the gardens are beautiful and intimate with a sense of discovery around every corner, views everywhere.  The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, and Lady Mander was so gracious and helpful as well, through the wedding week. Mary, the chef, created special menus for both the wedding feast and the breakfast the next morning and everyone raved over the cooking! There is Wifi, but limited phone service. Thank GOODNESS!! :) " dgordon11, TripAdvisor, September 2011

"“The Cotswolds' best kept secret” A gorgeous setting, tucked deep into the rolling hills of the Costwolds. The cottages are beautiful and charming - we didn't want to leave. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. Our friends were married in the chapel on the grounds of the manor house- a magical setting. Can't recommend it enough."
