What a winter is has been here at Owlpen! We have been stacked with maintenance, making little nips and touches to our accommodation, venue and grounds.
The main Cyder Barn itself has had a little glow-up as well. We had to remove a treasured piece of furniture which served as our ceremony backdrop, and in its place we have added an elegant feature wall which includes a fragment of wall hanging, inspired by the famous painted cloths in the manor house. We hope you like it when you come to visit.
Wedding Availability
Now that spring is here, we find that we rarely have availability for weekend weddings in the ‘high season’ of the following year. So if you are looking for dates, you’ll find that 2027 is fully booked for weekend weddings from April to November.
HOWEVER we do still have availability for midweek weddings over that period.
Why would we get married midweek, we hear you ask. Simple!
Why Get Married Midweek?
1. Three Day Weddings
A Owlpen we offer three days weddings no matter when you choose to get married. So you can take over the Owlpen Estate as an exclusive destination wedding venue in the height of summer, arriving on a Tuesday and leaving on a Thursday, for a fraction of the weekend price.
2. Affordability
By booking midweek you save around 25% on your wedding fees without lifting a finger. Easy!
3. The same excellent service
We pride ourselves on the highest levels of customer service at Owlpen, and we feel that a quick look at our reviews online will show you that our reputation goes before us on this one.
Our main priority is a happy client and happy guests. We make everyone feel so welcome as soon as they arrive, and no job is too small during your stay. 4. The same destination wedding experience
You don’t need to go to Tuscany or Provence to enjoy that spoiling destination wedding experience. Instead you can enjoy a higher level of service in even more beautiful surroundings – well ,we think so – at “the most beautiful place in England” (Fodor’s Guidebooks) just one hour from Bristol or two hours from London. No flights, no huge expense, much less hassle!
5. Flexibility with guest numbers
We have a minimum of just 40 guests at our midweek weddings, however we can go up to the same weekend numbers of 120. So whether you want just a close friends and family do, or a big wedding with everyone invited, you can do it all here. Just pay a per head fee for each additional guests above 40, so you can control your numbers easily.
6. Boutique holiday accommodation
All of our accommodation is reserved for you and your guests, whether you book midweek or weekend. So you can comfortably sleep over 50 guests on the Owlpen estate in holiday cottages (40) and our glamping site (14). That means everyone is in one place for the full three days, and you keep the party going.
