Front of House Team

We are looking for enthusiastic bar staff to help serve guests during events, gatherings, and special occasions at Owlpen Manor.

This role suits someone who enjoys meeting people and working as part of a small, supportive team. You will help create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring guests are served efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities may include:

• Serving drinks and interacting with guests

• Helping set up and tidy the bar area

• Supporting the events team during busy periods

Work is available mostly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. 

Previous bar experience is helpful but not essential — a friendly attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Housekeeping Team

Our housekeeping team plays an important role in keeping Owlpen Manor and its holiday cottages looking their very best for guests.

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented people who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The work involves preparing rooms and cottages for arrivals and helping ensure that every guest enjoys a comfortable stay.

Responsibilities may include:

• Cleaning and preparing guest accommodation

• Changing linens and replenishing supplies

• Maintaining high standards throughout the property

This role suits someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a small team that cares deeply about the guest experience.

Garden Volunteers

Owlpen’s historic gardens are one of the manor’s greatest treasures, and we are always delighted to welcome volunteers who would like to spend time helping care for them.

Volunteering in the garden is a rewarding way to learn more about traditional gardening while working in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Tasks vary throughout the seasons and might include light planting, weeding, pruning, and general garden care.

No previous experience is necessary — just enthusiasm, a love of the outdoors, and a willingness to get involved.

Volunteers often tell us that a morning in the gardens at Owlpen is one of the most enjoyable parts of their week.
