Planning a micro wedding?  Want to keep costs down but still have an amazing venue to celebrate your wedding? Or perhaps you are travelling from abroad and looking for a destination wedding venue, so the day of the week doesn’t matter so much.  Look no further!

We have a specially curated midweek wedding package which allows flexibility and economy in one.  We have put together a package which includes everything for 40 people, and then you just pay per head for additional guests, up to 120 people.  Simple!

We know that it is sometimes easier to see just one quote, instead of having to work out lots of different costs per head. In recognition of this the midweek wedding package keeps things straightforward.

Our midweek wedding package includes the following benefits:

  • Use of the estate for two nights, where required.  We invite you to arrive the day before your wedding, to give you an opportunity to decorate and get ready for the big day.  We can also host a dinner or informal get-together the night before, in the Cyder Barn, if required.
  • Use of the Owlpen Manor Estate including the gardens and grounds.
  • Exclusive use of the brand new pole barn, and medieval Cyder Barn, for dining and dancing.
  • Access to the Manor House itself for ceremonies for up to 50 people.
  • Wine for 40 people: our package includes a bottle of wine per head (sparkling, red and white), spread out over the reception, wedding breakfast, and speeches. We also offer ‘beer buckets’ at a discounted price if you would like more variety during the reception, and our fully stocked bar will be open for evening drinks.
  • Food for 40 people: the cost includes a three-course meal.  Choose one dish from a range of options outlined below.
  • All cutlery, crockery and glassware is included in the fee.  Seating is on long trestle tables which don’t need table linen.  If you would like linen, or prefer round tables, there is an additional fee.

NB We usually host our midweek weddings on a Wednesday.  This allow you to arrive the day before with no one else there except from you.  In the same way, on the Thursday you need not be in any hurry to leave.  If you would prefer a Thursday wedding, we can arrange this for you.  The only difference is that there is a tighter deadline for checking out of the accommodation in the morning.  It is up to you!

MIDWEEK WEDDING PRICES

The prices quoted below are for 2026, with 2027 prices in brackets.  The price includes alcohol and food for up to 40 people.

October to end of April: £6950 (£7450)

May and September: £7950 (£8450)

June, July and August is £8950 (£9450)

For additional guests, the fee is £67.50 per head for adults, and £37.50 for children.  They can enjoy bottomless soft drinks all day (elderflower, orange juice, apple juice), all included.  For full info on children’s food choices, please click here.

The meal fee for wedding suppliers, such as photographers and band members, is £27.50.

If you would prefer to opt for a dry hire option – without food or drinks – the fee is £6550 (£7050) For May-end of September, and £4950 (£5450) for the rest of the year.

The holiday cottages are charged out separately.  Our nine boutique holiday cottages can sleep 40 people in total, and cost around £60-£65 per person per night, based on a two-night stay (the night before, and the night of the celebrations).

    Choice – If you wish to give your guests a choice between the Meat or Vegetarian Starter and/or Main, this carries a £2.50pp supplement.

    NB – you still choose one Meat dish, and one vegetarian dish.

    Wild Card: The Great British BBQ

    For those looking for a more informal dining option we also offer a full-scale barbecue extravaganza.  This is a two-course feast without a starter.

    DRINKS

    Included in the package we offer a bottle of wine spread out over the course of the day.  This includes two glasses of Prosecco for the reception.  For the meal we provide half a bottle of wine per person, divided between red and white according to your preference.  Then a glass of fizz for a toast, whenever you choose.

    If you want to add that extra touch of style to your wedding reception, then nothing hits the spot better than our ever-popular canapés.  They work especially well if you want to have a longer reception (over an hour) and if you are looking to do extensive group photographs, as the food choices keep other guests occupied and entertained. 

    Choose 4 different canapés. We advise two of each choice per guest (total of 6). Price: £13.50 per person.

    The package explained above includes alcohol for you and your guests during the reception and the meal.  In total, it works out as a bottle of wine per head.

    The wine that we offer is as follows:

    Reception: 2 glasses of Owlpen Manor prosecco

    Wedding breakfast: 3 glasses of Owlpen Manor house wine

    Usually 1 glass white and 2 glasses red, but it depends on your preference.  NB this includes an alcohol-free wine option.

    Our house white is a Southern French Sauvignon Blanc.  Our red wine is a Merlot from the Languedoc. It is a classic, robust red wine which pairs well with grilled or roast meats and root vegetables.

    Toasts for speeches: 1 glass of Owlpen Manor prosecco

    Evening Food

    Canapes and a three-course meal sound like a lot to eat, but guests do still get hungry in the evening!  Below we have included a list of our most popular evening food options for you to download.

    Our favourite option is Owlpen wood-fired pizzas, with a variety of toppings.  They cost £15 each, and we recommend that you allow for two pizzas per three people.
